not much, it is too expensive for what they offer.
very old, no place for any activity
No doubt the most iconic & truly Moroccan hotel in Tanger, giving a true taste of Morocco combined with international standards. For us the clear & only choice in town!
Staff were incorrigibly self-promoting: I.E. referral to a rental car company with a new car which turned out to be a 2006 repainted sedan with seat covers and 85000km! Incompetence punctuated by outright lies would be a solid description of some staff.
Liked the location and the hotel facilities.
Very slow staff, breakfast wasn't good.
Location, mood, cortesy of peoples
a grand old hotel kept up beautifully
an old fashioned luxury hotel with excellent service .
We have very enjoyed the stay in El Minzah. Perfect gardens, pool, restaurants.
The decor, the ambience, the pool, the view from the room with the terrace.
The breakfast buffet was just okay. The supper in the Moroccan restaurant was delicious - the musicians and dancer were a delightful treat.
Great location. Pleasant and mostly helpful staff. Well eqipped and srviced gym & spa
Wifi not included and expensive. Not expected at the rates we paid for our room. Hard ,not very comfortable beds.
They are always trying to get money off you and charge you prices more expensive than the most expensive european cities. They tried putting extra restaurant bills on our account and when we pointed out that it wasnt us they didnt believe us and made us wait while they looked through all the receipts. Rather than apologize, they made it seem like we had ripped them off, rather than the other way around.
Because it is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly
For the most part, we found the staff at El Minzah to be attentive, friendly, and helpful. The facilities were nice although we were not able to use the Wifi in our room--we had to go downstairs to the business room. The hotel itself is very beautiful and comfortable, just outside the Medina and near the beach.
However, one experience cast a shadow over our stay. When we arrived our hotel room was not clean, so we were encouraged to take a walking tour with a guide. At first this was very nice--he took us to lunch at a nice (but very expensive) restaurant, and showed us around the Medina. Soon after we were taking to a shop where we found ourselves pushed into buying an expensive carpet and then taken to other shops where we were pressured to spend money on items we did not want and did not ask to see. They then tried to push us into taking another "tour" the next day. Having some experience traveling in Africa and the Middle East, I have never had a tour guide push me into an exploitive high-pressure sales situation in such a way: on the contrary, the tour guide is supposed to tell you how to avoid being taken advantage of. I considered this to be very unprofessional behavior on the part of the tour guide and hotel, breaking a bond of trust I had come to expect from those extending their hospitality to me in similar situations. By all means, stay at El Minzah--the hotel itself and the location are great. But avoid the tours, or at least go into them knowing that the guide is NOT on your side.
The hotel was overall a good place to stay in and I would go there again. The breakfast was good; also the Moroccan food was amazing. My child had so much fun using the swimming pool area which was well taken care of and clean.
The room housekeepers did not do a good job cleaning the room; the services in a lot of time were kind of slow!
Nothing, I wont stay at it again
To old, far from beach and night clubs, has nothing around it, rooms are very old and too small
